The later years of the Great Eastern Railway

My latest completed proofreading project for Pen & Sword Books was the second part of a comprehensive history of the one of the most famous of the pre-1923 British railway companies, the Great Eastern Railway (GER). During 2022, I worked on the first part of this history, both of which were written by Charles Phillips. Whilst the author had clearly carried out much research, the text was repetitive in places and could have done with a few more pictures, to add to those included. Having said this, the book is a worthy tribute to the GER, a company which ceased to exist a century ago. It should be of interest both to a wide cross-section of railway enthusiasts and historians.
