Earlier today, I completed a new proofreading project for Pen & Sword Books, this time on a bus-related subject entitled ‘The Wrightbus StreetDeck Type’. This was a colour photograph album compiled by David Barrow, showcasing these superb vehicles in service with various bus companies in the UK and abroad. The Wrightbus StreetDeck itself was first produced in the early years of the present century. It is built in Northern Ireland at Ballymena and is a vehicle that bridges the gap between fossil fuel technology and eco-friendly forms of propulsion such as electric and hydrogen. Operated by a wide miscellany of companies, it looks to have a great future, with 1,500+ buses sold to the time of writing. A worthy tribute.
