Disability and the Tudors

I have just completed a new proofreading project for Pen & Sword Books. The subject was the treatment of disabled people during the time of the Tudors in England, in particular Henry VIII. My knowledge of this era of history is sketchy, but, as with my earlier proofread on Oliver Cromwell, I learnt a great deal. Overall it seems that the treatment of disabled people, both physical and mental, and whatever their background, was much better than might otherwise have been presumed. An unusual topic and one that should find a space on the bookshelves of history lovers.
