Contrasting proofreading projects

Recently I have been busy working on two proofreading projects, both of which have been for Pen & Sword Books, and both of which have been on contrasting subject matters. The first of these was entitled The Food Bible. This was an updated version of a book which has been previously published on a number of occasions since 1999. It is a guide to healthy eating and includes recipes and data on the good qualities of different foods and drink.

In complete contrast, my other project was a biography of Oliver Cromwell and his family. It looked at his life before, during and after the English Civil War of the 1600s. My knowledge of history covers more modern times, but I found this a most fascinating and readable account of what were, arguably, some of the most turbulent times in the history of Britain.
