My most recent completed proofreading project for Pen & Sword Books was one a little unusual. It was entitled Recreational Vehicles: A World History 1872-1939, the vehicles in question being a mixture of caravans and motorhomes. Author Andrew Woodmansey has written a most enjoyable history of how the concept of recreational vehicles came about, from the late nineteenth century to the beginning of the Second World War. The well illustrated volume spotlighted the development of these vehicles in Britain, Europe, the USA, Australia and New Zealand. My own knowledge of these machines is zero, but I found the manuscript both informative and interesting, a well-written volume.
