A Revolution

My latest completed proofreading project for Pen & Sword Books was a most interesting manuscript on the ‘Railways of London Docklands’, this being a history of the planning and construction of the three railway routes that were (or will be) crucial in the developments that took place from the 1980s onwards in the former London Docks area of East London. The author was Mr Jonathan Willis, who headed up much of the planning for the three railways in question, the Docklands Light Railway, the Jubilee Line extension of the London Underground system, and the Crossrail east-west route, now known as the Elizabeth Line. A very readable account of what went on, backed up by many appropriate illustrations. An excellent example of what can be achieved by different people and organisations working in pursuit of a common goal.
