A Piece of Bus History

My latest completed proofreading project for Pen & Sword Books was a picture book on the subject of ‘Buses in the Border Towns of London Country 1969-2022’. The ‘border towns’ in question, in the past, were those places where the services run by London Transport (and then London Country) met local operators, the geographical location being south of the Thames. Author Malcolm Batten provided all the pictures from his own collection and they provide a fascinating journey through time, starting with the more standardised LT/LC era (Routemasters and their ilk), gradually giving way to the more random post-deregulation era from the mid-1980s onwards. A piece of bus history.
